Session Structure

How Every Tutorial Session Is Run

Our tutors don't just improvise. Every session follows a clear, intentional structure that balances teaching time with active student practice — ensuring no minute is wasted and every learner leaves with something new.

Warm-Up & Review The session opens with a short review of the previous lesson's key points and homework. This cements prior learning before new content is introduced.

New Concept Introduction The tutor introduces the day's topic using the whiteboard, printed materials, and clear explanations tailored to the student's level.

Guided Practice Students work through exercises — written, oral, or both — with the tutor observing, correcting, and giving real-time feedback. Mistakes are caught and explained on the spot.

Free Practice & Application Students apply the lesson independently — a short writing task, a speaking exercise, or a comprehension activity. The tutor steps back to observe and only steps in when needed.

Wrap-Up, Feedback & Homework The tutor summarises what was covered, gives verbal feedback, and assigns take-home work. Parents of younger students receive a brief progress note on request.
